On the occasion of Earth Day 50th anniversary, AFED participated in this year’s global online events to observe the occasion.

 

A special digital issue of Environment & Development magazine was released on 22 April, including 5 features on Earth Day themes. In cooperation with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, AFED published a full Earth Day page, which was also featured on the front page.

 

This year’s celebration adopted a digital format as Earth Day Live. AFED Secretary General Najib Saab was among several actors, musicians, politicians and other public figures who participated in the live event via personal video messages.
