AFED joined the Environment & Sustainable Development Unit of the American University of Beirut (AUB) as adviser and jury member of the regional environment competition initiated by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD). The Small Green Innovative Projects Competition divides projects into 3 categories regarding level of grants: Pilot, $5,000; Medium, $20,000; Transition to Scale, 60,000. Topics covered Energy, Waste, Agriculture and Water, with climate change as cross cutting theme.
