Secretary General Najib Saab coordinated AFED’s input to the Mediterranean Commission on Sustainable Development (MCSD) of which he is Vice President. The Steering Committee met 4 times in the past 5 months to update the Mediterranean Strategy on Sustainable Development (MSSD) for the coming term. The exercise involved reviewing the results so far in view of introducing necessary changes. It also recommended new indicators and flagship initiatives. The MCSD will meet in Istanbul on 12-13 February to discuss the final outcome.
